A game really not to be talked about ever again. The DFC boys went into this match knowing only a win would do; 'A must win game' as descibed by most, with MMB sitting just one place above us having played all but three games of their entire KDFL5 season. This was an easy win - 5-0 last time at their place, why should we be worried?

Oh dear. The match stayed squarely balanced for the entire first half and much of the second as well. That is until MMB mangaed to knock in a sobering goal from the edge of the area. Completely against the general run of play, although much of the ball was contested in the middle of the pitch and there were few chances at either end. It couldn't get any worse - but it did. Within another 5 minutes MMB had doubled their lead, after a scrapy ball was bundled in following a set piece.

At 2-0 down the fans at the pitchside were close to tears. Desperate for the home side to rescue something from the match, the encouragement continued as loud as ever. After a number of chances went begging - Fletchers header at the far post saved on the line by the dodgy MMB keeper and numerous corner that amounted to nothing, Kev pulled DFC back into the match with his first league goal of the season.

But it was too little, too late and the Darkside slumped to their 5th league defeat of the season and every match hereafter becomes too important to lose. A strong character is now needed to see that DFC get promotes without requiring the addition of a second team!
