With the summer sunshine blazing down on the West Side of town, Darkside turned up in their shorts, sunnies and thongs.  Spirits where high, a combination of the weather and memories of a 14-1 first game drubbing of our next opponents.  Tanna announced the team, missing marathon defender French Dan Bansepto and birthday attending midfield Timothy Galehino.  In the squad came old guard Jim ‘Keown' Taggtista, with skillful winger Alan Fletcho replaced by pacey utility man Antonio Wrightista moved onto the left wing.

5 mins – The game kicked off with the usual gasto afforded by the Darkside, with paceman Wrightista bombing up the right wing with a couple of assaults on goal.  A combination of unrefined finishing and bad luck from front pair Masukudhino and Swaininho, saw Darkside go at least 20 minutes without a mark on the score sheet.  Westside threatened with a couple of balls over the top of our right sided defenders, chased down by a couple of pacey ringers.  But the Darkside defenders coped amicably and soon the tables where back to normal…leaning towards the Westside goal.

20 mins – Antonio Wrightista stormed with pace from the left, and was spotted by big striker Swaininho who slipped a sublime ball into his path… which was followed by a deft Brazilian-esc chip by the right boot of the makeshift left wingman. 1–0 Darkside.

25 mins – After a brilliant 1-2 with Masukudhino on the right hand side, the skillful and ever present Ben Molehino made a mazy run into the opposition's box.  With the Westside defense panicking at the outcome of his mazey run, Molehno was soon rolling on the floor after being pole axed by the Westside left back.  Cometh the 25th minute, cometh the man – Ozzy international Craig ‘barbie' Kingston.  He placed the ball on the spot, the keeper was warned to stay on his line… and with a light jog and assured placement, the keeper was picking the ball from the back of his net again. 2–0 Darkside.

33 mins – More frustration was suffered by the usually green and dynamic duo Swaininho & Masukudhino. With the two front men firing blanks, help came again from Down Under.  Barbie Kingston made a rare dart into the 6 yard box, only to be spotted once again by the unselfish Swaininho – who squared a pass into the Ozzies path.  Their number 1 shouted “keepers ball”, Kingston ignored it, the net rippled… same again keeper!  3-0 Darkside!

39 mins – By now, Darkside were in full flow and in full control.  Tanna continued orchestrating from the side lines, the crowds where in full voice and it was about time for a another visit by the keeper to the back of his net.  Masukudhino received the ball from the Steve ‘The Secretary' Mintystini in the middle of the park.  With one thought on his mind, ‘fcuk, what do I do now', Masukudhino bombed it towards the right side of the 6 yard box.  Just about to pull the trigger from a tight angel, a white Darkside strip was spotted lurking lonely on the left side of the 6 yard box.  Only one option surely, EASY BALL, a square pass 2 yards from goal for Wrightista from Masukudhino, and the skinny utility man notched up his second of the game.

45 mins – The half time whistle blew too early for Darkside's liking and off we trotted for a wise word from the manager, Tanna!  After 5 minutes of half time rituals, piss taking, banter and Mintystini still claiming chairmanship it was time for the 2nd half.

2nd Half – WE ALL FCUKED OFF DOWN THE BLACK LION, leaving Westside to play on their own against our shadows (AND STILL COULDN'T SCORE)!  What a shame, but at least we are rested for our next match in 4 months time!
