Ian Harris
Defence

Football: A new summer signing brought in to add some youth and creativity to an ageing defence. Ian ‘sicknote’ Harris, eager to re-start his football career after 5 years on the sidelines, officially signed his Darkside contract mid-summer 2005 - somewhere in the middle of The Black Lion, with manager, chairman, team mates and proud barman Mark looking on.

Since starting his playing career at the late age of 6, Harris has slowly worked his way down the field of play. Starting as a forward for the prolific 2nd Hook Cubs, he moved into the sturdy midfield of North Kingston B’s (followed by AFC Ewell). Harris then found his true calling, as a wing-back for the Championship winning Ruxley Rangers until a torn cartilage cut short his season. Now playing for the Darkside as a solid right-back, or wingman when called upon by Tanna, Harris is enjoying bombing down the flanks on the overlap – until he gets tired at around the 8 minute mark.

Hobbies: Watching/playing most sports, especially footy and golf. Playing Champ Man on the PC, and Pro Evo on the PS2
